Wilderness First Aid Course

Wilderness First Aid Course (16 Hours)

The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is a comprehensive, 16-hour training program designed to provide outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, and professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to medical emergencies in remote and challenging environments. This course is typically conducted over two days, combining morning lecture sessions with afternoon hands-on skill-building exercises and realistic scenario practice.

Participants will learn how to assess and treat common wilderness injuries and medical conditions such as sprains, fractures, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, and allergic reactions. The course covers essential wilderness-specific topics, including patient assessment, basic wound care, splinting techniques, and how to manage life-threatening situations with limited resources. The focus is on practical skills, allowing participants to build the confidence and ability to handle emergencies effectively in the wild.

By the end of the Wilderness First Aid course, you will have the tools to be self-reliant in remote environments and the confidence to respond to emergencies with calm and clarity. Whether you're a hiker, camper, guide, or outdoor professional, this course will give you the skills to take charge when things go wrong, ensuring both your safety and the safety of those around you.
